Under the direction of our Information Services Manager, American Collection Systems, Inc. has implemented numerous steps in order to maintain its network security and the security of the data received by our clients. American Collection Systems, Inc. has been successful in keeping its clients’ data both accurate and secure through the installation of software and hardware firewalls as well as using only the highest quality service providers which maintain a strong record of network intrusion prevention. The IT Staff is constantly monitoring all incoming and outgoing network traffic in order to keep the systems secure. Through these measures, along with maintaining software updates and the monitoring of the latest news, American Collection Systems, Inc. feels secure that it will be ready and able to prevent any possible security vulnerabilities that might be uncovered in the future.

Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA)

American Collection Systems, Inc. will satisfy the standards and requirements of HIPAA and the Privacy Rule by providing our clients with “satisfactory assurances” that American will deal with Protected Health Information that is received from our clients in accordance with our clients responsibilities under HIPAA.

Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA)

American Collection Systems, Inc. will satisfy the standards and requirements of FERPA by providing our clients with “satisfactory assurances” that American will deal with student records and information that is received from our clients in accordance with our clients responsibilities under FERPA.
